More Life Fitness details
Fitness facilities now have an innovative solution for attracting and retaining a variety of additional users.

Introduced by Life Fitness at IHRSA recently, the company's new Life Fitness Circuit is a space-efficient line of 11 strength-training machines designed to deliver time-efficient, total-body workouts in an approachable, easy-to-use format.

Jeremy Navrady, Marketing Manager at Life Fitness, says: “Our new Life Fitness Circuit combines a patented resistance system, a user-friendly design and superior biomechanics to give exercisers of all levels an effective, easy-to-use, non-intimidating exercise experience.

“The Circuit Series is ideal for fitness facilities that want to attract and retain non-traditional users, those new to strength training, and more experienced but time-challenged exercisers. It's also a good solution for re-inspiring members who have lost some of their passion for working out.”

The Life Fitness Circuit LifeBand™ Resistance System is a new type of patented resistance system that utilises bound and covered groups of poly-elastomer bands. The bands mimic gravity, providing both concentric (shortening) and eccentric (lengthening) resistance for the greatest strength-training results.

The resistance varies appropriately through each movement for a natural, biomechanically correct feel. The system also eliminates acceleration at the top and bottom of the exercise, which allows users to execute the fast movements of an express-style workout, yet still enjoy the feel of traditional strength-training machines.

A variety of features make the machines easy to use and minimise user intimidation, including a low-profile, easy-to-enter-and-exit design and a resistance system without weight selector pins or weight plates.

Also, exercisers don't need to make any machine adjustments before working out, which will be especially appealing to strength-training novices.

Exercisers easily set resistance by pushing and pulling buttons. The low minimum starting resistance is ideal for those who have never done strength training or have minimum strength capability. The small resistance increments let exercisers of all fitness levels measure their progress and feel a sense of accomplishment, which helps them to stay motivated. In addition, biomechanically correct movements that follow the body's natural path of motion ensure that workouts feel good to users.

The units are especially quiet, and their sophisticated industrial design will enhance any setting as well as complement other Life Fitness products in a facility. With virtually no set-up adjustment parts and a self-contained resistance system, they are also easy to maintain.

The efficient design of the Life Fitness Circuit enables facilities to give their users total-body workouts in a minimal amount of space, and because they do not require electrical or compressor lines, the machines are easy to place and install. The machines also boast the durability that customers expect from Life Fitness.

Additionally, the company offers a variety of pre-developed, half-hour circuit programmes which accompany the Circuit. Developed by the Life Fitness Academy, the education and training department at Life Fitness, these easy-to-implement programmes let facilities meet the specific needs of many types of users and special populations, regardless of individual exercise experiences or goals.

Fitness First was one of the first operators to trial the Life Fitness Circuit and has already installed it at seven of its UK sites. Matt Keatley, Purchasing Manager at Fitness First, comments: “The Life Fitness Circuit allows operators to provide straightforward, yet challenging, workouts for beginners through to experienced exercisers.”

“The intuitive equipment combines superior biomechanics and feel with premium aesthetics and the minimal set-up adjustments required mean that all members can enjoy time-efficient workouts.”
